The BIM Process

Mechanical contractor’s Project Manager checking the plumbing and Duct installation with the BIM data on his computer.  When Larry found a trade taking space reserved for another trade he would immediately inform the culprit to removing it.  There is no point in collaborating during the coordination BIM process if one does not respect to follow the coordinated BIM.  Larry played a very importantv role during the installation process of all the MEPF.

The orange piping and Equipment is the Animal Bedding system that had to be incorporated into the already coordinated MEP model.

UCSF-Bedding 02

The image above shows the Animal Bedding System (shown in yellow) that had to be incorporated into a already fully coordinated MEPF model.
Since the Animal Bedding design drawings were shown on the plumbing drawings they were completely overlooked by the  plumbing trade.  Animal Bedding is a specialty trade, so VXV had to model not only the piping that had to be completely level but also all the Equipment.
